Description
A gold metal and epoxied shield shaped device 1 1/4 inch (3.18cm) in height blazoned as follows: Argent, on a saltire Sanguine (Maroon), two snowshoes Or, surmounted by a cross Gules, overall a staff entwined by serpent of the third. Attached below the shield, a Maroon scroll inscribed PRIDE AND GLORY in Gold.

Symbolism
Maroon and white are the traditional colors of the Army Medical Department.  The maroon saltire symbolizes the Roman numeral X and represents the 10th Mountain Division and the legacy of Dental Health Activity, Fort Drum. The snow shoes are symbols of readiness and allude to the challenging conditions associated with cold weather warfare. The American Red Cross and Asclepius are the traditional symbols of Army Medical units.

Background
The distinctive unit insignia for Dental Activity, Fort Drum was approved 21 February 2017.
